The Chesterfield FC Supporters Club have donated a lawn tractor to the club to help with lawn upkeep in and around the Proact Stadium.
The lawn tractor, costing close to £1,500, was bought using funds raised by the supporters club.
Ian Browes, committee member of the supporters club, spoke about how the donation came about.
He said: "Glyn [Walker], one of the ground staff, approached me and at the end of last summer asked me about fundraising to buy a new lawn tractor to cut the grass around the stadium.
"Having found out that we had some money in the supporters club we decided to donate this lawn tractor.
"Before, Glyn had to use a strimmer. It probably took him about a fortnight and by the time he'd finished he'd have to start again, so it'll save him a lot of time."
Chesterfield FC chief executive Chris Turner was also on hand as the keys for the machine were handed over to the ground staff next to the Proact Stadium pitch.
Turner explained more about the important position the supporters club holds at the football club.
He said: "The supporters club are a very important group of people and Ian does a marvellous job with the Young Spireites and with the Supporters Club and this donation is greatly received.
"Glyn and the boys who work in and outside the stadium will save an enormous amount of time with this new lawn tractor and we fully appreciate it."
