Chesterfield will be hoping to continue their progress in the DCFA Senior Challenge Cup as a Spireites XI travel to Glossop North End in the quarter finals. The match at the Arthur Goldthorpe Stadium is still uncertain to go ahead, as the North Derbyshire side does its best to battle against the torrid recent weather and the snow it's left behind.
North End, like the Spireites, asked supporters to help clear the snowy deluge on the pitch in recent days to try and ensure the game is able to go ahead.
The weather has already had it's way with the North End fixture list, seeing their match with 1874 Northwich postponed this weekend.
The North West Counties Premier League side have been in strong recent form, beating Squires End in their last outing to sit second in the league table and are in the fifth round of the FA Vase to boot, having overcome Worksop Town away from home.
Chesterfield reached the quarter final stage with a win over Derby side Graham Street Prims, while North End booked their date with the Spireites after getting past New Mills FC.
The two sides will know that a semi final match at home to Matlock Town will await for the side able to prevail in this round.
Ticket prices for the match are £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
