Spireites manager Paul Cook has issued a rallying cry to fans to pack the Proact for Saturday's fixture with Fleetwood Town.
The 1-0 defeat at Rochdale was the Spireites' fourth successive league loss, and Cook believes the time to turn the results around is now.
"Next week for Fleetwood becomes the biggest game we've had," said Cook. "Now we need your support, now if you're a good supporter that's when you show your colours.
"It's easy to be negative, but we've not had for straight defeats in my time here and these players haven't just become bad. We've now lost to Scunthorpe and Rochdale, and we haven't lost to them in two years. What happens now is that the confidence starts to drain, and it's my job to lift everyone."
The last time the Cod Army came to the Proact Gary Roberts' famous winner won Chesterfield the match and the league and Cook wants the home masses to cheer them home to success again this weekend.
He said: "I beg the supporters to create that atmosphere and pretend that we're top of the league - let's have one of those performances at home that we've had in the past."
