The youth team recorded a thumping 6-2 win at Bradford City, which featured two goals apiece from Davis Keillor-Dunn and Ricky German.
Keillor-Dunn opened the scoring in the 18th minute after cutting in from the left-hand side.
There were no further goals before half-time, when Chesterfield were forced to make. Jake Hudson received a kick to his ankle so Merlin Ferrinho came on in his place.
Bradford equalised just two minutes after the re-start with an effort from just outside the area.
Chesterfield made another change in the 58th minute with Morrison replacing Martell Daswell, who felt ill.
Morrison regained the lead on the hour-mark when Morrison was put through by Ferrinho and scored at the second attempt after having his initial effort saved.
Keillor-Dunn (68) made it 3-1 from the penalty spot after German was fouled.
Three minutes later, the home side reduced the arrears with a free-kick.
German (76) restored Chesterfield's two-goal advantage, tapping in after the keeper dropped the ball from Ferrinho's cross.
Dan Thistlethwaite scored two minutes later, firing in from around six yards out after Keillor-Dunn set up Tom Marshall who crossed with the outside of his right foot.
German completed the scoring two minutes from time, finishing at the near post after meeting a low cross from Callum Greaves.
Coach John Bilton praised his team, saying: "It was an excellent performance against a difficult side who are big and strong.
"We had a young side out and it was pleasing to score six goals. We are now averaging 3.1 goals scored in the league, which is the second highest in all Under-18 leagues in the country."
