New Spireites boss Danny Wilson has added to his backroom staff, bringing in Chris Morgan from Sheffield United to become the club's new first-team coach.Morgan held the same role during Wilson's time in charge at Bramall Lane and has latterly been in charge of United's Under-21 side.
Wilson is delighted to have been able to recruit someone he has known since he was a youngster, starting out at Barnsley. He said: "Chris has been a very loyal and hardworking individual throughout his career. He is reliable and dependable and he commands respect in the dressing room.
"As well as being a good organiser, with bags of energy, Chris has a great sense of humour so he is able to relax people. I have no doubt the players will respond well to his coaching methods."
Morgan, 38, had been with Sheffield United since joining them from Barnsley in 2003. After making over 250 appearances for the Blades, he joined the coaching staff in 2010 and had two spells as caretaker-manager, the first of which came following Wilson's departure towards the end of the 2012/13 season.
