Christmas week and Spireites midfielder Angel Martinez is looking forward to a prosperous 2016 and a return to action after his long-term knee injury.
After a scintillating three-game start to his Chesterfield career, Angel was on the wrong end of an innocuous training ground tackle, which has put the 29-year-old out since early September.
The Spaniard fed-back on his progress and the stage he's at in his rehabilitation.
"The injury is recovering quickly," he said. "Two weeks ago I went to the hospital and I had the manipulation done on my knee under anaesthesia, and it's already feeling much better.
"I now have full flexion in my injured knee and it is looking and feeling like my other knee.
"This week I have finally started to do my running again and I have been given the stairs to run up and down. Next week I will step up my recovery and start to do some weights, I can't wait to get this next step of my recovery going."
"It is difficult to put a time on my recovery, but I am in the final part now and hoping to get back quickly so I can play again this season."
