Chesterfield have signed a substantial, long-term agreement with Kong Media Ltd, who become the new sponsors of the back of the first team shorts.
“I’m very pleased to be welcoming a brand new name to Chesterfield Football Club,” said Kevin Fitzgerald, Chesterfield’s head of commercial & marketing. “Kong Media have built up a fantastic reputation globally in the specialist targeted marketing industry they are involved in.
“We are already discussing how we can work together on other projects including how we can potentially look at introducing some of Kong Media’s global clients to the club.”
Ross Barrett, managing director of Kong Media, said: “We’re expanding our media partnership with the club and it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to have a long-term relationship with Chesterfield FC.
“As part of the deal we’re also looking to work with the club in a Sheffield location as well. We already operate one screen in Sheffield and we’re now looking to build a second screen in the city.
“We’ll be active in promoting and advertising which in turn will help the club by introducing partners that we already work with in the local area. I think all-round it will help both us and the club and it’s a deal that we’re really excited to be a part of.”
