New Spireites signing Liam O'Neil says he's fit and ready play for the first team after signing for the club from West Brom on Monday.
The 22-year-old completed a permanent switch from the Premier League side and says that he's ready to slot straight into the starting 11 if asked to by manager Dean Saunders.
"I'm raring to go and if I'm called upon I'm ready and will give my best in the game against Millwall," he said. "After my first training session I'm getting in to things so we'll see what happens at the weekend. If it does come about I'll be buzzing to play and I can't wait.
"I've played about four or five pre-season games with West Brom and while match fitness is key I'm sure that will come, and if that's against Millwall my fitness will be good and I'll be there ready."
Despite only being at the Proact for a day or two O'Neil is already bedding himself in and feels welcome at his new home with his new team mates.
He said: "I feel good and I can see we've got a good team here as well so if I have any problems I know I'll be able to ask them and they can help me sort them out. I've settled in well already and I'm looking forward to getting going."
