Chesterfield keeper Aaron Chapman has moved out on loan to Bristol Rovers.
After agreeing to let Chapman spend a month at the Memorial Stadium, Spireites manager Dean Saunders said: “We’ve sent him out on loan to get some games because he needs to get match-sharp after having his ankle reconstructed.
“He looked good in pre-season but he still needs games. The experience he’ll get is vital for him and then we can call him back when we need him.”
Chapman, who was signed from Belper Town two years ago, has had previous loan spells at Chester and Accrington Stanley.
His solitary appearance for the Spireites came as a substitute in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Scunthorpe United last September.
