23 April 2015

Following our recent announcement regarding changes to matchday hospitality, with effect from next season, here is an update on developments.

Uptake – Kevin Fitzgerald, head of commercial & marketing, describes the uptake on the new hospitality as "nothing short of overwhelming". He said: "Within that short space of time, over 70% of current seasonal members have already renewed for either The Spires Restaurant package or the 1866 Club Lounge package with more members due to come into the club over the next week to speak to our commercial department to discuss which package they would like."
New Members – we have had a fantastic increase in new members for both hospitality packages - the biggest increase since the 2011/12 season.
New Sponsors – we have agreed new sponsorship deals for two of the lounges which will be officially announced in due course.
The Spires Restaurant
If you are a current Leengate Legends Lounge member and would like to take up the revamped hospitality option for the new-look 'Spires Restaurant' for
next season, then your seat will stay exactly the same.
1866 Club Lounge
If you are a current Leengate Legends Lounge member and would like to become a member of the 1866 Club Lounge next season, your seat will be relocated to the padded seating adjacent to the directors box.

We have provisionally allocated as close to a ‘like for like’ seat for you as possible. If you would like to come in to view the location of the new seat, please call a member of the team to arrange a mutually convenient time to do so.
All seats for current Leengate Legends Lounge members, in both The Spires Restaurant and the 1866 Club Lounge, will be reserved until Wednesday, May 6, after which point seats will be released for sale to new members waiting to join.
Open Door Policy – we have in place at the club very much an open door policy for any current seasonal members who have any questions regarding the changing of the matchday hospitality offer. If you would like to see the view from your chosen seat in either the Spires Restaurant or 1866 Club Lounge, you are more than welcome to come in to the club.
Thank you – one group of people who took up the opportunity of an open invite from the club to ask any questions and to view the new lounge and seating arrangements were Jon Morris, Gary Bown, Stuart Bellamy and Terry Nash. Kevin Fitzgerald said: "We would like to thank Jon, Gary, Stuart and Terry for their time. We would also like to say thank Gary, Stuart and Terry for taking out 1866 Club Lounge membership for next season.

"The changes have been made to enhance everyone's matchday experience at the club and also to increase revenue and the early indications are that the changes will prove to be a success."
