Ahead of a crucial end of season run, the Spireites squad this week spent a day at Klasse Spa in Chesterfield, getting in some essential recuperation time.
Chesterfield head to Bramall Lane on Sunday for their final league match with Sheffield United of the season before heading into the play-offs, starting on Thursday night with the Proact Stadium first leg of the semi-finals.
Amanda Cooper from Klasse Spa gave further details of the players' visit: "Today they're relaxing up in our spa facilities where we have aromatherapy heat rooms, sauna cabins, a steam room and reflexology foot spas.
"We're also giving them either relaxing or deep muscle massages, ready for the game on Sunday, and some of them are using our fantastic Sun Angel sun bed."
Defender Charlie Raglan explained the necessity of rest, especially at the end of a gruelling campaign.
He said: "Some of the lads, like Tendayi, have played all of the games this season, and for all of us there are a few aching muscles.
"Mentally more than anything it's important. The day-to-day routine, training and going to the same places and doing the same things are enjoyable, but this just breaks up the week and it was something for us to look forward to, it's been really nice for the boys.
"We have hopefully four big games coming up, the local derby on Sunday what everyone is looking forward to and then we'll have a quick turn around for the play-offs."
