With his side now confirmed as qualified for the Sky Bet League 1 play-offs, talismanic forward Gary Roberts can't wait to get started - and knows exactly what's in store.

Roberts helped Huddersfield Town into the Championship via the League One play-offs in 2012 and going on his experience explained what he was looking forward to this time around with the Spireites.

"The play-offs are great if you win them," he said. "Every one wants to be on that stage and if you can win at Wembley and go up it's the best feeling I've ever had as a footballer.

"A few boys in there will be getting told because some players like myself and Ian Evatt have been there and won the play-offs at Wembley - we've got a few young lads and this will bring the best out of them."

"The best way to go up is in the play-offs, a million percent, it's the best day of your life. To be at Wembley in front of 60 or 70,000 screaming fans is amazing."

With Sheffield United waiting on Sunday in the last league match of the season at Bramall Lane, Roberts ran the rule over some potential play-off opponents, while assuring Spireites fans that their side will be in it to win it.

"The other teams are all fighting for it. Swindon have had their minds on the play-offs for a couple of weeks now, MK Dons will be a little bit disappointed if they're there because they've had a fantastic season.

"We're happy to be in there, but we're not there to make the numbers up, we want to go in there and win it.

"We've had decent results against MK Dons, less so against Swindon but we'll be going to Sheffield United full of confidence and looking to win the game."
