Full back Tendayi Darikwa couldn't have chosen a better time to open his goalscoring account for the season, netting the only goal in the Easter Monday win over Crewe Alexandra.
What's more, Darikwa's goal came with his head, and after the Proact Stadium match he told Spireites Player that it wasn't the most likely way for him to score.
"I'm not usually one to head the ball so it was probably a bit of a rarity," said Darikwa. " But I was thankful that it went in in the end. It was a great ball from Robbo [Gary Roberts] to the back stick and I was able to get on the end of it and it went over the 'keeper and in.
"It's always frustrating not to finish teams off but fair play to Crewe, they made it difficult and they kept going right until the end.
"I think the fans know the way we like to play. We like to keep the ball and work it from side to side - hopefully we can start adding some more goals, but at the end of the day at this point in the season it's all about the points and we got them today."
With another huge match on the horizon with the trip to Barnsley on Saturday, Darikwa is excited to see the travelling Spireites army at Oakwell, the same supporters who voted the right back man of the match on Monday.
Darikwa said: "It's not too far, it's only up the road so hopefully we can take a good following. The fans have followed us all around the country all season fantastically, so hopefully we can take another few thousand.
"It was nice to get the vote from the fans and I'm thankful for their support today. Hopefully they give us that push until the end of the season and get us over the line."
