After another impressive showing in the win over Scunthorpe United on Saturday, Daniel Johnson spoke about his time at the club.
The midfielder started the match on the bench but after an early injury to Gary Roberts brought the on-loan Aston Villa man into the action.
Despite wanting to start, Johnson was please to have been able to make a big impact.
He said: "I was just happy to get on the pitch, get my minutes in and I was happy for us to get the win to stay up near the top, it was a good feeling."
"No one knew Roberts was going to go down with an injury, but 20 minutes into the game he pulled his hamstring, so there I was ready, shin pads on and everything."
Since his Proact Stadium arrival Johnson has played a couple of different positions, further forward and back in the midfield.
However, Johnson says having the chance to play is more important than the position.
He said: "I don't really mind, I just want to get out on the pitch and it doesn't really matter where- preferably in the centre of the park where I feel more comfortable, but anywhere's fine.
"I'm really enjoying it at the moment, the lads are brilliant and we've started well."
In his fledgling Spireites career Johnson has shown impressive touch and vision, and he feels this matches with the fluid passing style that Paul Cook's men play with.
Johnson said: "It's always good to come on loan to teams where it's going to be suitable for you and Chesterfield is a very suitable place for me to be at right now, so it's all going well.
"There are a few very good teams in League 1 and Chesterfield are one of them. Hopefully we can keep this run going and stay near the top."
