Chesterfield officials have sent a warning to any Sheffield United fans who have purchased tickets for areas of the Proact Stadium reserved for home supporters ahead of Saturday’s derby game.
A number of people who purchased tickets for home areas of the stadium have subsequently been identified as Sheffield United fans. They have now been advised that their tickets have been blocked, preventing them from entering the stadium.
The club reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone suspected of trying to gain access to an area of the stadium they are not permitted to enter. Stewards will be monitoring the stands during the game and eject anyone failing to comply with the regulations.
Chesterfield’s stadium manager Colin Nellist said: “The steps have been taken to ensure that the Proact Stadium remains a safe environment for people to watch football.”
