Chesterfield have made a successful appeal against Tommy Lee's dismissal in the game against Sheffield United on Saturday, with the decision overturned.Lee, who was shown the red card after fouling Ryan Flynn just outside the penalty area, will now be eligible to play in this weekend's game at Bristol City after his automatic suspension was withdrawn.
The decision was made at a meeting of The FA's Regulatory Commission. "From the evidence adduced the members ruled that it was a case of wrongful dismissal," said an FA spokesperson.
Spireites assistant-manager Leam Richardson is delighted with the outcome. He said: "Tommy has been playing well for us this season and we are pleased that he will be available this weekend."
