Spireites frontman Eoin Doyle has crowned a fantastic start to the League One season by scooping the September Sky Bet Player of the Month award.
During September Doyle netted seven times for the Spireites, including back-to-back hat-tricks against Scunthorpe United and Preston North End.
Upon receiving the award, Doyle spoke of his pleasure at the early-season recognition.
He said: "It's great, it's nice to pick up an award. It's been a good start to the season for me personally and also for the team as well."
Talking of his numerous recent goals for the club, the striker revealed which of his many strikes had been his favourite.
He said: "I liked the last one against Sheffield United, I like getting rebounds in the box because that's when I know I'm doing my job well.
"The first one against Preston was nice too. I tapped it through the defender's legs and then dinked it over the 'keeper, so I think that's my favourite."
Doyle has already equalled his goal haul of last season, with 13 strikes already this campaign, and he puts the improved ratio down mostly to his team-mates.
The Irishman said: "I'm playing more minutes up top and that's helping a lot. I can't thank the lads enough though, I'm not the type of player who creates goals for himself and the service this year has been fantastic so my team-mates should be taking the plaudits as much as me."
While pleased to receive the award, Doyle considers the personal accolade less important than continuing to do well for the team.
He said: "It's a nice thing to look back on of course, but really it's all about the team and looking forward to the weekend and trying to get the three points and keep competing."
Chesterfield manager Paul Cook was also happy to see his striker earn the award.
He said: "I am delighted that Eoin's excellent form has been recognised in this way.
“He fully deserves the award as he always works hard for the team, which is something we all appreciate."
