Chesterfield striker Armand Gnanduillet has joined Tranmere Rovers on loan for a month. The 22 year-old front man has spent much of the League One campaign coming onto the match from the bench and it's hoped added game time with Rovers will aid his development.
Manager Paul Cook stressed the potential for Gnanduillet's progression in the move.
He said: "We've got to make sure that Armand is getting minutes on the pitch, so we can see his career develop. He's not developing with us, we're just throwing him on for something to happen.
"These are the big decisions that I have to make. I'm sure I won't keep every supporter happy with every decision but I'm doing this to get Armand minutes on the pitch- we can see how successful the lad can be then at a team.
"He goes into a competitive team to play, which is very important. It then allows me to bring in Gardner, O'Shea and Banks and I just hope our supporters stay with me through it."
