Club physio Rodger Wylde has confirmed that Gary Roberts is available for consideration for this weekend's FA Cup tie at Braintree Town after his recent hamstring injury.
Roberts has trained with the first team for the last two days, and has now completed his ten days rehabilitation programme for the injury.
Unlike the winger's short absence, Drew Talbot and Sam Hird are two players who have suffered long injury lay-offs, and the pair are now in the late stages of their recoveries.
According to Wylde, both men are recovering as planned and the duo are only feeling the usual aches and pains that occur along with rehab.
Spireites 'keeper Aaron Chapman had previously moved to Lancashire club Accrington Stanley on a short loan spell, but the goalkeeper returned to the Proact after sustaining an ankle injury during a match for Stanley.
Chapman is currently waiting on the go ahead for an operation, which the club are hoping will happen sooner rather than later.
