Jay O'Shea, Ritchie Humphreys and Ollie Banks have all signed new deals at the Proact Stadium.O'Shea's new two-year contract will keep him at Chesterfield until the end of the 2015/16 season after his previous deal expired at the end of this campaign.
Speaking about extending his stay in Chesterfield, the Irishman said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be honest. When I came here I left a League 1 club but I knew that this was a club with ambition.
“That’s only going to be good for me and obviously for the club as well. I’m going to look to move to Chesterfield now with my family and I’m going to give it everything.”
Humphreys' previous contract also expired at the end of the 2013/14 campaign but the PFA chairman signed a new one-year deal keeping him at the Proact Stadium until the end of next season.
“For the age that I am, the amount of games I played last season was an absolute delight and an honour," explained Humphreys before adding: "When the manager offered me another year, I was delighted to sign it.
“I think we’ve got the nucleus of a team to do quite well in League 1. There’s a lot to be said for momentum. But it’s going to be tough, there’s a lot of hard work to do.”
Banks had one year remaining on his previous contract but has signed a new two-year deal that will see him play for the Spireites until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
