Nathan Smith will return to Yeovil Town after agreeing the terms of a two-year contract with the Somerset club.

The full-back's previous deal at Chesterfield expired at the end of the 2013/14 season and, despite being offered a new contract at the Proact Stadium, Smith has elected to return to Huish Park.

In a season blighted with injury, the 27-year-old made just 15 appearances in all competitions during the Spireites' 2013/14 title-winning campaign.

Chesterfield's 2012/13 Player of the Season returns to the club that originally signed him from non-league Potters Bar Town in 2008.

Everybody at Chesterfield would like to thank Nathan for his efforts during his time with the Spireites and wish him the best of luck at Yeovil Town and beyond.
