Sam Morsy was named the Player of the Year at Sunday night's Player of the Year awards night at the Proact.

Morsy, who joined the Spireites from Port Vale last summer, won the fans' vote following a series of impressive midfield displays this season.

The sell-out event in the Leengate Legends Lounge, which was hosted by Nick Johnson and Phil Tooley, featured seven other awards.

The Players' Player of the Year award went to Gary Roberts while Eoin Doyle won the Goal of the Season award for his effort against Leeds United in the Capital One Cup.

The final award of the night saw Zoe Edge named Fan of the Year before an auction of sporting memorabilia was held.

All members of the first-team squad attended the event, together with the management and coaching staff. The night concluded with entertainment from The Nutty Boys.
