Lawson's Ryan Fletcher is excited at the prospect of taking to the stage for Party at the Proact on Sunday, June 8.Having grown up in Chesterfield, it will be a home-town gig for Ryan. He said: "Playing all the pubs and clubs and coming from that to coming back to your home town and playing the stadium, which never even existed, is amazing. It's a nice little full circle."
Ryan was talking to Peak FM's James and Becky before he and band-mate Joel Peat took part in a Q&A session at Chesterfield College with 80 performing arts and media students.
Mansfield-born Joel added: "When you perform at different places around the world, not a lot of people have heard of Chesterfield and Mansfield, so it's nice coming back and everyone knows where you're from.
"The thing about going on tour is obviously playing the gigs and seeing the fans but it's also good because we see our families more when we're on tour. They come everywhere with us so when it's on the doorstep like this, I think they're delighted."
Lawson are joined in the line-up by Tinie Tempah, Union J, Katy B, Labrinth, Ms Dynamite and Tich for what promises to be a memorable event.
Party at the Proact is a day after Tom Jones performs at the stadium.
