Johnstone's Paint have given 50 tickets to a local junior football team to watch the Johnstone’s Paint trophy final this Sunday.
Chesterfield Junior Blues have nearly one hundred players from ages nine to 14 and half of them will be seeing the Spireites play live at Wembley for free.
Oliver Couch, chairman of the Junior Blues, said: "This is a fantastic gesture from Johnstone’s Paint. It’ll be a great day out for some of our kids who might not otherwise have been able to go.”
Chesterfield Junior Blues will celebrate their tenth season as an independent club next year, having being formed out of Chesterfield FC's club in the community project, and Oliver believes that the role of companies like Johnstone’s Paint is crucial to the teams and players.
He said: “At the last World Cup, all but one of the England squad came through grassroots football clubs like the Junior Blues.
“Future England sides depend on vibrant grassroots clubs supported by sponsorship. You can see from the players shirts that local businesses are generously sponsoring our teams, but we need more help to reach more kids.
“This contribution by Johnstone’s Paint is a massive help to us.”
