Chesterfield duo Gary Roberts and Mason Bennett both scooped honours at the 2014 Football League Awards on Sunday night.
Roberts was presented with the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Year Award, fighting off stiff competition from Rochdale's Scott Hogan and Scunthorpe United's Sam Winnall.
After joining Chesterfield in the summer of 2013, the midfielder has been an inspirational figure in the Spireites’ bid to win promotion into League 1.
As well as scoring some crucial goals Roberts also leads the Sky Bet League 2 assists table and has helped Paul Cook's side earn a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley.
Bennett beat competition from Huddersfield Town's Jake Charles and Middlesbrough's Bryn Morris to claim the LFE Apprentice of the Year for the Championship Award.
The 17-year-old made his first-team debut for Derby County aged just 15 and has gone on to represent England at youth level. He has been highly praised not only for his performances on the pitch but also for his contribution in the community.
The youngster joined the squad at the Proact Stadium last week on a month's loan from the Rams and made his Chesterfield debut during Saturday's 3-0 victory over Oxford United.
