Details of the first round draw for the 2014/15 Capital One Cup that will be held at 10am on Tuesday, June 17.

The first round draw is seeded based on the final league positions of teams in the 2013/14 season, and then split regionally between north and south.

Chesterfield have been grouped in the 'non-seeds - north' category along with fellow promoted sides Rochdale, Scunthorpe United and Fleetwood Town.

The list of teams who qualified in the 'seeds - north' category and could face the Spireites in the first round of the Capital One Cup are as follows:

Blackburn Rovers
Bolton Wanderers
Bradford City
Derby County
Doncaster Rovers
Huddersfield Town
Leeds United
Nottingham Forest
Port Vale
Preston North End
Rotherham United
Sheffield United
Sheffield Wednesday
Wigan Athletic

Most notably, there is the possibility for a local derby in the opening round of the competition with Barnsley, Derby County, Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday all in the group of teams that could be drawn against Chesterfield.

Paul Cook's side faced Leeds United at Elland Road in the first round of last season's competition and narrowly lost 2-1 despite taking an early lead through Chesterfield's 2013/14 Goal of the Season. The 2014/15 draw could see a repeat of last season's first round tie as both sides reappear in the necessary categories.

The first round fixtures will be played on the week commencing Monday, August 11.
