Spireites chief executive Chris Turner has confirmed that a second bid from Leeds United for Liam Cooper has been rejected.

After having an initial offer turned down, Leeds returned with an improved bid which also failed to meet Chesterfield's asking price.

Turner said: "We were unwilling to accept the offer tabled by Leeds as it fell short of our valuation. Until a club matches the fee we feel Liam is worth, he will remain a Chesterfield player."
