Chesterfield College have a number of places available for the NCS project that is running over the school holidays, starting from this Monday. This is an excellent opportunity for 15-17-year-olds to enhance their employability skills whilst also having fun and a good time with people their own age.
The students will be on residential placement for the first week in the Peak District and involved in a range of outward-bound activities. The second week is a residential placement at the Chesterfield Hotel as a base for local activities and visits. This includes an employability skills session, led by the club's head of media & communications, Nick Johnson, in The Hub at the Proact Stadium.
The final two weeks are non-residential. During these two weeks the young people organise and undertake their own social action projects.
All this for just £40! (Unless parents receive means-tested benefits, SEN statement or FSM/Bursary).
