A Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden Fundraising Dinner will take place on Saturday, August 2, helping to raise the £35,000 needed to complete the Memorial Garden, currently under construction.
The Fundraising Dinner will be hosted in the Legends Lounge at the Proact Stadium, with doors opening at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm start. The minimum donation to attend the event is £35 per person, with tables made up of 10 people.
Speaker at the event will be Corporal Andy Reid, who will be recounting his inspirational story. Also present at the dinner will be a host of special guests, including Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire and 91-year-old former Spireite Albert 'Des' Collins.

Standing opposite The Hub at the back of the Spencers Solicitors Community Stand, the Memorial Garden is taking shape and is hoped to be opened on schedule in August.
The garden - an initiative of the Chesterfield FC Supporters Club - is designed to give supporters the chance to sit down and remember late Spireites fans and also to commemorate Chesterfield players and officials killed in the two World Wars.
