The new season will be bringing a host of new technology and delicious matchday additions to the concourse bars at the Proact Stadium.

Concourse and events manager Paul Watts was on hand to go through some of the new developments.

He said: “We've had a few changes throughout the post season. We’ve got card machines on every concourse, which means we can accept credit and debit cards and have the facilities to provide cashback as well.

"With contactless payment we can do transactions of up to £20. They don’t need to put their pin number in and can just put their card on top of the machine, which should speed up service where there’s no cash involved.

"We’ve only got a 15-minute window at half time, so there are a lot of people that need serving. If people do use the contactless it should see the queue times going down, which should help fans get a better matchday experience."

As well as the new technology available at the concourse bars Spireites fans will also be able to buy snacks from the comfort of their own seats.

Watts said: "By the start of the pre-season friendlies we’re going to try ‘hawking’. The guys are going to be out there selling hot dogs and burgers from the hawking bags. We’re going to start with the Family Stand and if it’s successful we’ll buy more hawking bags, and it saves people having to go into the concourse bar to queue."
