Next month's Chesterfield Community 5k run will raise funds for both The Child Foundation and Chesterfield FC Community Trust.
Organised by North Derbyshire Running Club, the event is being staged on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25, starting at Sheepbridge Industrial Estate at 10am and finishing at the Proact Stadium.
"We are delighted that North Derbyshire Running Club are supporting The Child Foundation in this way," said Karen Child, founder of The Child Foundation. "We are working closely with organiser John Cannon and the Chesterfield FC Community Trust to ensure that the event is a success."
The entry fee for the 5k run is £8 per runner (£6 for affiliated club runners) and there will also be a children's run at the Proact, starting at 11am and costing £3 to enter, which will see those taking part complete three laps of the football pitch.

The event is being supported by Tesco.
