Enamel badges will be produced for every home league match this season and sold to raise funds for the academy. The collectable badges, featuring the date of the match and the two club crests, will cost just £3.
Badges were produced for Chesterfield's appearance in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final last season and proved to be very popular.
Director Chris Breeze, who is responsible for the academy, said: "Football club badges have become very collectable and following the recent success of the JPT final badge, we thought this would be a great way for fans to support both the club and the academy.
"All profits will go directly into the academy and contribute to the running costs. As a collector myself, I have always bought badges from away grounds when they have been available, so it will be great to have a full set from a season at our own stadium."
There will initially be 200 badges produced for each home league fixture but higher quantities will be produced if the demand is there. The possibility of offering a case to store the badges in is also being explored.
