The Memorial Garden is edging closer to becoming the best memorial of its sort in British football. In order to raise the few thousand pounds required to do everything they want to complete the project, the organisers have come up with five ways that supporters can help:
1 Granite Benches
Donate £375 for one of the two granite benches and have a plate on the bench inscribed 'Donated by...' or 'In memory of...'.
Donate £5 for a plant or £10 for a shrub to help provide a fitting, year-round display.
Buy a Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden badge - costing just £3 - available from the Club Superstore.
4 Dinner Tickets
Attend the Memorial Garden fundraising dinner on Saturday, August 2, during which the fallen will be remembered as it is just two days before the 100th anniversary of the First World War. There is a minimum donation of £35 per person. This will provide the first opportunity to view some of the first installations in the garden. Payments for tickets can be made in the Club Superstore (please complete the booking slips for seating purposes) or you can email email@example.com.
If you would like to have a plaque on the Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden wall, remembering a loved one, forms are available from the Club Superstore or the reception in The Hub.
Any donations, which will be gratefully received, can be left at the Club Superstore. Please leave in a sealed envelope, marked 'CFC Memorial Garden'.
