A youthful Chesterfield side lost 3-0 at Borrowash Victoria in the Derbyshire Senior Cup on Wednesday night.Scott Staniland scored twice for the hosts in the first half with an own goal from Thomas Marr after the re-start rounding off the scoring.
The young Spireites went a goal down after only six minute after Staniland got on the end of a right-wing cross.
Borrowash were awarded a penalty when keeper Wright brought down David Hind inside the area and Staniland scored from the spot.
Marr suffered the misfortune of turning a cross into his own net to effectively kill off Chesterfield's hopes of mounting a comeback.
