There's a chance to look back on two of Chesterfield's title-winning seasons at an event being staged at the Proact Stadium next week.Heroes of the Fourth Division championships in 1969/70 and 1984/85 are attending a night in the Leengate Legends Lounge on Saturday, February 15.
Starting at 7.30pm, the event will provide fans with an opportunity to hear memories of those memorable campaigns recounted by some of the players who starred in them.
There will also be a pie & pea supper and music from the respective eras provided by The High Aces and The Nutty Boys.
Those who have confirmed their attendance so far include:
1969/70: Tom Fenoughty, Kevin Randall, Dave Pugh, Martin Wright, Roy Hickton, Peter Bishop, Gerry Clarke, Tony Moore and Alan Stevenson.
1984/85: Bob Newton, Steve Spooner, Chris Marples, John Matthews, Brian Scrimgeour, Steve Baines, Phil Brown, Brian Ferguson, Mick Henderson, John Duncan, Les Hunter and Mick Hoskin. Matthews and Scrimgeour will be travelling from Plymouth and Dundee respectively.
It promises to be a nostalgia-packed evening and tickets cost just £10. They are available from the Club Superstore, Legends Lounge member Denise James, Paul Kellett or Phil Tooley.
Any profits raised will be split between the Chesterfield FC Former Players' Association and Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden fund.
