Georg Margeitter played his last game for Chesterfield at the weekend and after the match he spoke about his time at the club and enjoyment he's had in Derbyshire.
Though the Austrian's final Spireites appearance didn't go to plan as ten-man Chesterfield went down to Bradford City, Margeitter says he has enjoyed his time with the Spireites.
He said: “Three months has flown by and in the end I had a really good time here. I can take a lot from this place and I really appreciate how everything made it easy for me to come in.
"The fans gave me a really warm welcome and a really nice farewell so I had a good time here and I’m looking forward because I think I’m a different player now.
“I’ve played some good games in a football-playing team. Maybe today wasn’t the best game for the audience to watch but to sum it up it was a really good time and it was a good decision for me to come here.”
The Austrian has put in some impressive performances during his time at the Proact Stadium and has had several personal highlights.
“It was good to score,” he said. “I think it was in my third game, against Notts County. Also, obviously the game last week at MK Dons.
"That was a highlight for us and for the club and it would have been nice if I could have finished my loan spell with a win but it was a little bit unlucky today because it was a clear handball before he [Billy Clarke] scored, so that’s the bad thing but in the end I want to look back on my time with Chesterfield with a smile.”
Margeitter now heads back to Wolverhampton Wanderers with hopes of getting a run of games in the Championship thanks to the experience he gained while at the Proact.
He said: “I got the signal that I’m going to be involved with the first team training so that’s a good sign and I think it’s deserved.
"I’m looking forward to going there and showing what I’m able to do. I like to play football and that’s why Wolves brought me in two and a half years ago.
"I think I’ve adapted my game to England here in Chesterfield so it was a really good decision to come here and I'd like to finish it off with a big thank you to everyone involved who made my time so enjoyable here.”
