With 2014 now nearly in the record books we look back at a terrific year to be a Spireite with part one of the year in photos.
1 - The year started year off at Bury after a short new year delay due to postponed game at Northampton Town, and began with a bang with a 4-0 win.
2 - Eric 'Elvis' Nixon made an appearance for the academy fundraising evening - and Sky Sports showed up to watch it.
3-11 - Fleetwood Town were beaten 3-2 on aggregate in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area finals. Despite losing the second leg 1-0 at the Proact, the Spireites were through to another Wembley final.
12 - The long-travelling Belgian Spireites made their way to Wycombe Wanderers, but see their team lose 1-0.
13-15 - The Cheltenham Town match away on a Tuesday night in February. Four goals, four scorers, seven minutes!
16-19 - With the spring thaw the Spireites picked up their promotion push.
20-23 - The local derby with Mansfield Town provided fire but no goals in a 0-0 draw at Field Mill.
24-35 - The Spireites invaded Wembley again in late March for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final, but this time were on the losing side after a 3-1 defeat to Peterborough United.
36 - 41 - The last away game took Chesterfield to Burton Albion, where the Spireites gained promotion after a second half Jay O'Shea double confirmed promotion in a 2-0 win.
42-53 - The last home game of the season against Fleetwood Town saw the Spireites go a goal down before they roared back and a Gary Roberts winner crowned Chesterfield 2013/14 Sky Bet League 2 champions.
