Chesterfield boss Paul Cook spoke to Spireites Player after witnessing his side draw 0-0 at Fleetwood Town.
The Spireites manager praised his side’s dominant display at Highbury, despite only taking one point from the game.
Cook said - “I thought we were terrific first half and I thought we created numerous chances. We dominated the game really against a strong Fleetwood team, but unfortunately we struggled to put the chances away so that is the only disappointing thing.”
After Chesterfield had put in such a good performace, Cook admitted that the Spireites have got to be more clinical in front of goal.
He said: “We have got to put our chances away and we know that. We have been criticised for not putting our chances away and today was a perfect example of that. Football is not as easy as people think, but we played well today.”
Although Chesterfield have made a bright start to the League One season, Cook admitted that he is still searching for new additions before the transfer deadline.
He said: “I am really pleased with the lads. One of the things I ask the supporters at the minute is to be a bit patient, and back the players that are playing at the minute. Our substitutions are not about who is coming on and off, they are about who is fit enough to play so we ask them to be patient. We are still in the market for players, and we are actively looking to strengthen the squad.”
