Eoin Doyle is the latest player to commit his future to the club, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract extension.The 26-year-old striker, who joined the Spireites in May of last year after leaving Scottish club Hibernian, is now tied to the club until the summer of 2016.
Doyle was Chesterfield's top scorer last season with 13 goals, including a strike at Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Peterborough United. He has scored two goals in the opening two games this term.
Manager Paul Cook is pleased to have secured Doyle's services for an extra 12 months. He said: "I am genuinely delighted for Eoin because he covers every blade of grass on the pitch."
Jay O'Shea, Ritchie Humphreys, Ollie Banks, Sam Morsy, Sam Hird and Tendayi Darikwa have all signed contract extensions since the end of last season.
