The final match schedule has been confirmed for the UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship, which features four matches staged by Chesterfield, including the final
England will play at the Spireites’ home on Friday, November 29 (7pm kick-off) and the stadium also hosts a match on Monday, December 2 (12.30pm kick-off).
That is followed by one of the semi-finals on Thursday, December 5 (kick-off 5pm) and the final on Sunday, December 8 (kick-off 5pm).
Along with host nation England, seven of the best European women’s sides including Spain, Austria and Scotland have already qualified.
The draw for the group phase will be streamed live on UEFA.com from Burton Town Hall at 2.30pm on Thursday, October 24. England will await the six elite round group winners and the runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their group.
Tournament director Adrian Bevington said: “This tournament is a fitting finale to the FA150 celebrations. A final tournament is always a great spectacle and I’d encourage supporters to come and enjoy the games.”
England women’s Under-17 coach Lois Fidler added: “Holding the finals in England provides our young stars with a real chance to shine and I’m confident the clubs and partners will attract lots of fans to see the games.”
