Chesterfield fans are encouraged to stay in the north west after the trip to Fleetwood to watch a local MMA fighter in Blackpool.
Lloyd Gellatly from Chesterfield is fighting in the Extreme Cage Championship’s first event Banned on October 12, the same day as the Spireites' away trip to Fleetwood Town.
Gellatly said: “I’d like to thank all my sponsors and everyone that will be making the trip down to support me. I’m really looking forward to the fight and I’m confident I can win, so it should be entertaining.
“I’ve worked really hard. Training has gone very well and I’m in great shape going into the fight so I’m feeling ready and prepared.”
Doors open at 4pm, the first fight is at 5pm and there will be 21 fights in all at Norbreck Castle in Blackpool, a half an hour’s trip from the Chesterfield game.
Tickets are £25 and VIP packages are available for £65 per head, they can be bought via his Facebook page.
