Chesterfield have reached an agreement with Sheffield United to loan young left-sider Callum McFadzean until January.
Subject to completion of the necessary paperwork, the 19-year-old will be available for Saturday's game against Wycombe Wanderers.
After progressing through the youth system at Bramall Lane, the youngster has represented England at U16 level. He will be at Chesterfield until Saturday, January 4.
Speaking about the deal, Chesterfield manager Paul Cook said: "Going into the busy Christmas period, we must ensure that we've got good cover.
"We're very grateful to Sheffield United for allowing us to borrow such a good young player, he gives us great cover on the left-hand side."
The Spireites boss confirmed that if the paperwork is completed on time, McFadzean will be on the bench for Saturday's game against the Chairboys.
Unfortunately, the Sheffield-born star will not be able to play against Oldham Athletic in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy as he is cup tied after already featuring for the Blades in this season's competition.
