The reception desk at the Proact Stadium has received a makeover in the form of a stainless steel club crest designed and created by Rebecca Wallace of Franke Sissons.
Speaking about the new logo, chief executive Chris Turner said: “The Chesterfield Supporters’ Forum brought it to our attention and I agreed that our reception area could do with brightening up and being made to look like a football club.
“The stainless steel badge was brought onto the agenda and within two or three months it’s out there, fitted and looks superb.”
Franke Sissons is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of stainless steel sanitary ware and Wallace is an aspiring designer working at the Chesterfield-based company.
She said: “Usually designers would draw something then take it to the shop floor to be made but I saw this from start to finish and I really enjoyed doing it.
“We were originally going to do it as a colour vinyl but then we thought that didn’t look right so I suggested a layered logo with all the same stainless steel.”
Wallace explained her delight at seeing the final design in place on the Proact Stadium reception desk: “I’m happy with the finished logo, it looks really good. It’s good to see something that you’ve designed and created put in place.”
