Chesterfield will host Northampton Town on Tuesday evening in their 18th fixture of the 2013/14 League 2 campaign.

The Spireites come into Tuesday's game on the back of four consecutive wins in all competitions, scoring nine goals and conceding none in the process. The North Derbyshire side defeated Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 in their last outing at the Proact Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's result left Chesterfield second in the League 2 table with the same points as leaders Oxford United, 22 places and 19 points above Tuesday's opponents, bottom of the league Northampton Town.

The Cobblers approach this fixture having won just two of their last ten League 2 games, leaving them in the relegation zone. Northampton lost 2-0 in their last game away at Hartlepool United on Saturday.

The Northamptonshire side last visited the Proact in January this year where a brace from Marc Richards and a goal from Jay O'Shea sealed a 3-0 victory for the Spireites.
