Drew Talbot has targeted a second League Two title after signing a new two-year contract.

Talbot, who was a key member of the title-winning side two years ago, is full of optimism as he looks ahead to the new campaign.

He said: "There's no point in thinking going up is good enough. We want to win the league - it's as simple as that.

"As long as we're competitive and give it our best shot, I think we're in with a good shout."

After just missing out on the play-offs this year, Talbot believes there are solid foundations for manager Paul Cook to build on. "There's a lot of games that we probably should've won that we didn't win," said the 26-year-old.

"Our gaffer's going to assemble a good, competitive squad. Together with the lads that are already under contract, we've got a really good base there and, fingers crossed, we can give it a good go."
