Boss Planning to Play in Charity Match

Paul Cook has confirmed that he is planning to turn out in this weekend's charity match at Glapwell FC.

The Spireites boss is set to play alongside his Mansfield Town counterpart Paul Cox in a Chesterfield/Mansfield XI against a team of TV stars on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

Proceeds from the match will be split equally between Once Upon a Smile, the King's Mill Hospital Scanner Appeal (Cancer & Lymphoma Unit) and the CFC Community Trust.

Chesterfield legends who are expected to feature include Jamie Ward, Bob Newton, Dave Caldwell and Gareth Davies.

The Once Upon a Smile Celebrity FC will be captained by ex-Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, who is currently starring in Scott & Bailey. Click here to view the full celebrity squad. 

Admission is £5 (adults) / £4 (children/senior citizens). Family tickets costing £12 admit two adults and two children. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Club Superstore at the Proact Stadium or on the day at Glapwell's Hall Corner ground.
