Chief executive Chris Turner insists the club remains committed to running the academy.
Turner has spoken out to allay any fears about the future of the academy following the departure of coaches Dave Bentley and Mark Jules earlier this week.
He said: "We're as committed as ever to the academy and we want to see that grow and produce players for the youth team. We obviously then want those players to kick on and join the first-team squad.
"We've also got a fantastic development squad and, together with the academy, that will take the club further forward. We've had tremendous sponsorship to aid the academy and we'll be looking for new sponsors as well to take it as high as it can go."
Turner paid tribute to the pair who have served the club loyally for many years. "Dave and Mark have been here a long time - 14 years and 17 years respectively - and they've done a great job for the club," he said.
"We felt it was time for a change, which is nothing to do with the individuals. I think it's time to move on and bring change to the whole football structure."
