Manager Paul Cook has expressed his delight with the form shown by Brindley. He said: “I though Richard [Brindley] was outstanding, I really did. I don’t like singling players out.
“I though he played really well Saturday. He was absolutely shattered in front of us late on. I think it’s great credit to the lad that he’s come from where he has, Chelmsford, to make a step up.
“He’s gone in and he don’t look out of place and I think that’s really pleasing.”
