Abseil For Academy Africa

13 March 2013

Sponsored by

Academy Africa are looking for people who would be interested in doing a sponsored abseil in aid of their charity.

An abseil from the top of the Chesterfield College building – which is 38 meters (128 ft) high – will take place on Saturday, April 6, starting from 9.30am.
The abseil is being done in conjunction with outdoor pursuits providers Acclimbatize, who have all the necessary expertise and insurance.
Chesterfield FC academy coach Ashley Foyle, who is one of the organisers, said: “We ask that anybody doing the abseil aims to raise at least £100, but as long as they manage toraise around £50 then they would still be able to do the abseil. Anyone under the age of 16 who would like to do it would need a letter of consent.”
Anyone interested in taking part or requiring further information should email
To sponsor Academy Africa officials who are doing the abseil, text AAUG13, followed by a space and the amount (eg AAUG13 £10) to 70070.
