Spireites Assistant Manager, Leam Richardson, believes the club is making all the right steps to attract new talent to the Proact Stadium. There was stiff competition for the signature of Chesterfield's latest signing, Jimmy Ryan. However, the club made all the right moves to secure the deal and bring the midfielder to the Spireites.
“There were a number of clubs after his signature so we’re really glad we’ve managed to get him over the line and make him a Chesterfield player," said Richardson, speaking to Spireites Player.
The Assistant Manager believes the club is an attractive prospect for players, he said: “A club like Chesterfield, we know where we want to go, it should speak for itself. It’s where the manager wants to be, it’s where I myself want to be and if you can add the right blend of players then you’ll have a good chance.
“We’re going in the right direction and when people get a feel of that, they’ll soon want to join and soon want to be on board.”
